Session 4: The Gift of Freedom 🎁
I’ve been reflecting on the “Let Them Theory” by Mel Robbins, and I think it perfectly illustrates the gift of freedom that forgiveness provides.
Three Truths I Live By:
- If they wanted to, they would: I’ve had to accept that if someone wanted to reconcile with me, they would have.
- I cannot change anyone: I’ve realized I can’t make people be who I want them to be.
- Forgive 70 times seven: Sometimes I don’t like what Jesus says because it’s challenging, but He calls us to forgive everyone for everything.
Like Jesus on the cross, I try to remember that those who hurt us are often just “unconscious”. I lived much of my life that way, but today I choose to be conscious of God’s grace.
