Radical Faith: Part 5

by Craig F. Harrison

Radical Faith: Cultivating Silence, Obedience, and Holy Promptings 🌿✨

Welcome to session five of Reflections with Craig! Today, we are exploring how to cultivate radical faith and make it a tangible, everyday reality in our lives.

While devotions, the rosary, and mass are important practices, radical faith is rooted in silence—taking the time to quiet ourselves, spend private time with God, and truly listen.

How to Cultivate Radical Faith:

  • Recognize God’s Signs: When we quiet our minds, we start noticing God’s presence in creation around us. Just today, as my grandson CJ was filming, hummingbirds flew right past us on the patio—a gentle, joyful reminder of God’s presence.
  • Obey Holy Nudges: Radical faith means being obedient to Christ when He places something on your heart. Recently, while walking my dog, I felt a sudden prompt to turn left instead of taking my usual route. That detour led me to an 84-year-old neighbor who had fallen the night before and needed an ambulance. Listening to that small voice made all the difference.
  • Speak Boldly & Dispel Fear: Cultivating faith means caring more about what Christ thinks than what the world thinks. We don’t have to listen to negative talk or walk in fear—because when we have Christ, we have nothing to fear.

When you quiet your heart, God will lead you in ways you never expected.

Has God ever given you a small “nudge” or prompt to do something unexpected? 🕊️
