TRADITION

Craig Harrison - Coffee With Jesus

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus (and Baileys!), I was thinking about TRADITIONS.  I think every family has traditions that have been passed down for the Christmas season.  One family shared how they decorate their tree in one night, bringing out all the ornaments one by one, remembering where they came from and who gave it to them.

Another family shared how they gather to make tamales, another ravioli. And then there are these awesome Polish cookies.  Traditions are important; they remind us of our past and our heritages.  They make us remember those people who passed them down and that we are people on a journey.

Today, think about the traditions that you celebrated over the years to welcome Jesus into the world.  Christmas is about memories, families and traditions that remind us that Jesus is our KING!  Don’t forget to drop off some of those “traditions” on my porch!  Have a blessed day!

I’m confused Fr Craig; Is Midnight Mass only a tradition to certain people? Or is it up to priest?
