Encourage

Craig Harrison - Coffee With Jesus

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking of the word ENCOURAGE. Last night I had a great talk with a couple of my sons, and I was really encouraged. Each one of them has overcome so many obstacles and yet they continue to fight the fight to be good men, and good fathers, and good Christians. The dictionary says ENCOURAGE means to give confidence, support, or hope to someone. These special men continue to ENCOURAGE me to press forward.

Think of the people who have ENCOURAGED you in your life. The teachers, the coaches, the parents, the ministers, the bosses, all of those who taught you how to be a better person. It’s funny for me that God has brought 8 young people into my life 40 years ago, and that they now range in age from 53 to 40! I realize they have encouraged me more than anyone. I have always felt Jesus encourage me, speak to me, and guide me, and HE has done so by bringing many people like them into my life to encourage me.

Today, I am thanking God for all those who ENCOURAGE me along the way on my journey. A special shout out to my sons for striving to be the best that they could be. It’s inspirational!

Have a blessed day!

Buon Giorno Monsignor Craig,
What a nice way to start the morning, thinking of who have helped, supported, guided, motivated us with everlasting love and encouragement. Of course our Father has been there, from when I felt like quitting my doctorate program, as I felt I was missing so many of my daughters milestones. By the time I graduat My parents have been my ROCK, from showering me with their endless love, instilling my hard work ethic, inspiring me to continue and always learn, to feel empathy, compassion and consideration for those less fortunate. In addition my brothers have lifted me up through various stages of my life. Lastly, our Father has sent me exactly who I needed in my life, at the precise moment of need. From complete strangers who are now one of my best friends to best friends from high school my life.

Monsignor, you unknowingly, have given me hope, strength and ENCOURAGEMENT by your example. Even when you were in a dark place, you exuded all the attributes of a holy man, even when most would have lashed out at the mean evil little jealous man who persecuted you. You remained calm, patient and most importantly did not degrade yourself as he clearly did.

La Paz este con Ud.,
Dr. Marta E. Chipres
