Detachment

Craig Harrison - Coffee With Jesus

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus I was thinking about “DETACHMENT”. When should we detach from people? When we are hooked into reacting with anger, fear, guilt, or shame. When our mind gets focused on revenge, and we plot how to protect ourselves. This is when we need to think about detaching for a time, so we don’t act out of pain and let space and time HEAL the issue.

What’s most important is that we find our inner peace so that we can work it out. Getting centered and restoring our balance will help us buy things as God intended us to. We can do practical things like breathe deeply, exercise, or take a walk as we center ourselves, we will look at the issue differently and the Holy Spirit will guide us to a new approach.

Today if someone or something makes you react in anger, fear, shame, or guilt step back to center in the moment and with God and let HIM take you to a safe place where you can bring HIS peace into the situation. When you find this place, you will find the PEACE and the connection you need.

Today’s message on “Detachment,” was extremely timely, as yesterday was my divorce/custody court case. This nightmare started over 4 years ago. I won’t go into the reasons why or the injustice from my husband nor other entities & individuals who meddled in our private divorce matter. I’m dealing with all this now with my law firm. All involved will be addressed is court.

Your message, “if someone or something makes you react in anger, fear, shame, or guilt step back to center in the moment and with God, let HIM take you to a safe place where you can bring HIS peace into the situation. When you find this place, you will find the PEACE and the connection you need.”

I had to do this for 4 long painful years. You’re correct, stepping back, stepping away is the only way to heal. We must DETACH ourselves from the hurt. Reflect, breathe, reflect and analyze prior to proceeding. Through our Father, he will guide us with next steps. He wants us in peace and in love. If someone treats us where we feel: anger, fear, shame, or guilt we truly need to detach for our own sanity.

Thank you Monsignor Craig, I appreciate your prayers for me and for our Father to be present in the courtroom. Yesterday was HIS day to ensure I was rewarded for all the years of suffering I endured. My ruined reputation personally and professionally, I give thanks to God as there was a paradoxical shift in demeanor from the judge. She behaved finally as a judge should’ve, fair and impartial. She had not been prior to yesterday. I’m not completely, I was awarded what I had requested 4 years ago, 50/50 joint legal and physical custody of our only daughter.
Praise Jesus!
Thank you!
We go back in December to complete the finance portion.
Officially as of 4:00 yesterday I’m now able to use my maiden name, Chipres. Do in closing Monsignor Craig, bless you for your daily messages, your words bring me hope, peace, tranquility and love.

It seems like I always have to experience a little anger and stress before I realize again that detachment is a handy tool and always available. Craig thanks for this reflection.. U R “spot on”. 👍🙏🏼
