Closure

Craig Harrison - Coffee With Jesus

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about the word CLOSURE.  Someone sent me a quote the other day that said, “If the door CLOSES, quit banging on it!  Whatever was behind it, wasn’t meant for you.  Consider the fact that maybe the door was CLOSED because you were worth so much more than what was on the other side.”

Throughout our lives, we have moments where there is CLOSURE. It could be the death of someone we love, or the end of a marriage, or a change in our occupation, or even things like depression and anxiety. Sometimes we need to take a good look at our lives and not be afraid to CLOSE the door that brings pain, and then open the one with new beginnings.  It’s amazing how many doors keep opening.  I think that’s how Jesus works.

Today, don’t see closure as something negative but rather as something positive and exciting.  I used to love the game show “Let’s Make a Deal”.  I always wanted to know what was behind Door Number Two!

Have a great day and just watch as new doors open and the Spirit of God leads you.

Buon Giorno Monsignor,
Closure must include gratitude for the things or persons we are discarding, giving closure then becomes a lot easier to let go and be excited to open the next door. The door of new opportunities, new relationships, new careers, new learning are awaiting us. Let’s be jubilant with the possibility of walking through a brand new door.
Blessings

Good Morning Craig. Your message hit home with looking at closure in a positive light. I’m learning not to ruminate over the events of this past 9 months. Our Friend Jesus has given us hope. Have a blessed day!
