As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus I was thinking about a phrase that I read in a reflection, “CROSSBEARERS FOR CHRIST.” What a powerful phrase, as each of us are called to be CROSSBEARERS! Being a CROSSBEARER, like Simon of Cyrene, means to take action; to use our brokenness for service, to not be afraid to get into the arena. Many people sat back and watched Jesus go bye but Simon of Cyrene and Veronica took action.We hear in scripture, Matthew 16:24-26,“If anyone wishes to come after ME, He must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow ME.“ The world will always remember the name of Simon of Cyrene because he helped Jesus with the cross. We all have CROSSES TO BEAR and we need each other to help to carry them. Today, think of a friend who needs help carrying the cross and become a CROSSBEARER. Call them, visit them, enter into their passion and be a friend. What a beautiful world would be when we help each other carry our crosses. Have a blessed day!
