As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about PERSEVERANCE in PRAYER. I was doing a little study on Elijah when I discovered what a powerful prayer he made. It was bold and full of confidence. Elijah did not beat around the bush, or even bargain with God. He believed God‘s promises and he prayed with authority.
In studying Elijah (1 Kings 18:20-40), we learn that we do not need to pray in secret; we need to be bold and strong when we pray. God tells us to come boldly into HIS presence. That is very powerful, because we are followers of Jesus Christ, and we can believe and trust in HIS promises.
Today, I am going to pray BOLDLY to my God. I am going to trust HIS promises to me and pray with confidence for all the people and situations in which I need HIS guidance. So, whatever you are praying about, pray with PERSEVERANCE and CONFIDENCE, and trust that God hears you and will keep HIS promises.
