Radical Acceptance: Part 6

by Craig F. Harrison

Radical Acceptance: Holding Onto Hope 🌅✨

Welcome back to session six of Conversations with Craig. Today, we are looking at how we resolve deep-seated separation in a family—whether it’s with a child, a parent, or a sibling.

No matter how bad it has been or how many years have passed, I want to challenge us to maintain a positive attitude and hold onto the hope that reconciliation is always possible. Having been in ministry for over 35 years, I have witnessed incredible family healings firsthand. Just recently, I watched a dying father and a daughter who hadn’t spoken in 20 years finally come back together.

Living in Freedom:

  • It’s Not About Them: Forgiveness is about our journey of living in freedom—it’s not about the person who hurt, betrayed, or abandoned us.
  • Never Stop Trying: When Peter asked how many times he should forgive, Jesus answered, “Up to 70 times seven” (Matthew 18:21-22). That is an eternal number telling us to get rid of the hate and anger once and for all.
  • Immerse Yourself in Support: Colossians 3:13 reminds us to bear with one another and forgive as the Lord forgave us. To do this, we need to surround ourselves with people who support our healing journey.

Reconciliation takes work, but keeping a heart of hope and immersing yourself in a healing community is where the breakthrough happens.

Is there a relationship in your life where you need to start choosing hope over history today? 🕊️

Watch Episode 6 now, and let’s keep walking this road together.
