Session 5: A Command, Not a Suggestion 🕊️
I want to remind you that for those of us who follow Christ, forgiveness is a command, not a suggestion.
My Final Thoughts on Radical Forgiveness:
- Before the apology: Jesus modeled that we should forgive even before there is repentance or an apology.
- Let it go: I see so much pain from family drama, addiction, and abandonment. I truly believe Jesus didn’t create us to carry that weight.
- Gratitude over fairness: Forgiveness doesn’t flow from things being “fair”; it flows from my gratitude for the grace God has given me.
I challenge you to look inside: Who do you need to forgive? And don’t forget to forgive yourself for the things you aren’t proud of.
