As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I am filled with GRATITUDE. In the month of June, we celebrate Father’s Day. I was blessed to have had a wonderful father, who served as a great example of what it means to sacrifice for your children. I was also blessed forty years ago to adopt my first child, and now have eight who consider me their father.
The title of FATHER is not something that someone gives you. It is an honor that has to be earned. Anybody can bring a child into the world, but it takes a special man to be a FATHER. I look at my sons with pride and thanks, for they are all amazing FATHERS. And I thank the many men I have met in my life who were and are true fathers.
So today, I ask God to bless all of you. Though not everyone had a wonderful father in their lives, God, the FATHER, is always there for each one of us. Let us remember our fathers, living and deceased, and thank God for them, and for the gift of being called FATHER ourselves!
Have a blessed day!
