As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking of the sculptor’s hands. A friend of mine, an artist in Canada, sent me some clay. I have been practicing taking this block of clay and letting God guide my hands to create! Isaiah 64:8 says, “We are the clay, and You are the potter. We are all the work of Your hands! “
I may not create a masterpiece, but that doesn’t matter. Just working the clay, seeing the transformation, reminds me of what God is doing in my life. So often I have tried to be the potter in my own life, creating an image that was not the God in me. It’s like the vase that I tried to make in junior high school. When I brought it home, my mother said she loved the ashtray!
Today, we can trust the Lord to mold us, sometimes to squash us and re-form us, to become the magnificent piece of art that we are. Today, I am going to celebrate that God is still creating this Masterpiece!
Have a blessed day with God as the Potter.
