As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about weekends. Even though all the days seem to run together, the weekend is a time to practice my mantra of SLOW DOWN, SIMPLIFY and SANCTIFY. It’s a time to renew our SPIRITS. Maybe you had a long week at work, or you were locked up in the house with the kids all week, or maybe it was just a lot of time alone. It’s time to make every weekend SACRED!
On SACRED Weekends, I challenge you to go for a walk or a bike ride, call a friend, prepare a fun meal, read a book, and maybe take a little extra time to converse with the Lord. We can take a regular day, not fill it with busyness and craziness, and allow our SPIRIT to renew itself.
So let’s declare every weekend a SACRED WEEKEND. Do something that you have been putting off that will renew your SPIRIT. Take a little time by yourself with the Lord, sit in the yard and look at nature, go for a hike, or just be silent in HIS presence. I love SACRED WEEKENDS.
Have a blessed day!
