Promise

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus I was thinking about the word PROMISE. Have you ever made a PROMISE to God and then not kept it. I think over the course of my life there were many times I tried to bargain or would make promises to God. even carrying out my Lenten PROMISES is hard! The powerful thing is that though I may fail in keeping my PROMISES to the LORD HE never fails to keep HIS promises. Jesus’s PROMISES are real. He doesn’t promise us fame, wealth and riches, but HE does PROMISE us joy peace and understanding. John 15:9, “As the father has loved me, so I have loved you. Now remain in my love.” His promise to love us and be our light is HIS gift. Studying and reading the Scriptures help us to remain in HIS love and to learn and embrace HIS promises. HE is faithful!Today, I am going to reflect on HIS PROMISES and remember that the closer I stay to HIM the better I can live out my promise to serve HIM. Isn’t it great to know we have someone in our life who keeps their promise! Have a blessed day!
