As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I think about calmness. With the holiday season passing, we get back to a new norm, different, but a NEW YEAR, and there is a need to be calm and peaceful.
John 14:27 says, “My peace I leave you; my peace I give you. Not as the world gives do I give to you! Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor let it be fearful.”
This new year, let us live in that PEACE. Even when things don’t seem to be going exactly how we had planned, let’s strive to experience HIS peace, to stay calm and focused, to breathe, and to trust HIM in all we do.
Today, I will celebrate this NEW YEAR by staying calm and peaceful and allow His love and guidance to be my star! Have a great and calm day!

Buon Giorno Monsignor,
Finding, being calm and peaceful has never been easy for me. I have tons of energy and I’m usually running at 100 miles. I’ve always been this way, but just unplugging, relaxing and sitting is hard for me. Being ill has forced me to slow down, I honestly view my illnesses as a gifts. It’s forced myself to learn how to be calm and be fully present and enjoy peace.
I want to remain calm, be peaceful and grateful BUT be healthy. That’s what I pray for. May this year bring all of us the ability to relax, rest, remain calm under stress knowing HE is there with us, giving us the ability to be at PEACE with our unique situations.
Blessings Monsignor, have a wonderful 1st week of this glorious NEW YEAR!

Great comment! Trying to live my life as best I can in peace and calm as I recover from my surgeries, etc.
Went to a reception after mass yesterday in the hall. Not many parishioners were there! Couldn’t eat the donuts that they had out so I told John Coleman and his wife to take a chocolate one on me and split it in half–ENJOY! He did! Amen and GOD BLESS EVERYONE!
