As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking of the words GRIEF and GRATITUDE! They do not seem to go together but really do. In Grief, we are deeply missing love that fille our lives with Joy. The pain however can be overwhelming when someone passes, and we forget the key element of GRATITUDE! In our hearts we are truly grateful we experienced that LOVE no matter the pain. In moments of GRIEF, I like to turn to GRATITUDE and think of the great memories and love we shared.
This morning, I was missing my family. My Mother, Father both brothers, and my sister who left this world too young. The grief is real, but the love and memories are real too. I would rather have the love and memories than never experienced them in my life. I also trust in God’s promise that we will be together again. So, in the meantime, I patiently wait for the great reunion. GRIEF and GRATITUDE ARE LIKE Peanut Butter and Jelly they go together. Have a Grateful Day.

Good morning Msgr. Craig. Beautiful message! Please put Josh DeYoung on your prayer list. He is my godson’s older brother and suffered a stroke about a month ago. He has a wife and 2 young sons who are school age. His wife is a teacher. His mother has been a good friend of mine since we both taught in Lancaster, CA. He is now wheelchair bound and is going through rehab. His parents are both retired now, so are able to help him! He needs prayers! Amen and God Bless everyone!
