Dreams

Craig Harrison - Coffee With Jesus

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus this morning, I was thinking about DREAMS. I was talking to a friend yesterday and she said something profound. We were talking about depression, the disconnect of the world, and she said, “I can’t find the dream.” It seemed like an epiphany! In this strange time we live in, when we barely remember what day it is, it seems we have forgotten how to dream. We used to dream of the future, of a vacation, or of fellowship at church. We had routines; now it all seems different.

Perhaps Jesus is calling us to something deeper. Where we used to fill our time with busyness and activity, now there is a tremendous VOID. Perhaps Jesus is wanting to fill that void. Jesus wants to be a part of the DREAM. We can go through the motions, fill our time with useless things, or we can open our hearts to JESUS. We can allow HIM to fill that void and then we can dream again! We can dream again of greater things, greater times, greater blessings.

Today DREAM. DREAM of a world that Jesus wants. Dream of a world of peace and joy and love. And then hold on tight because DREAMS do come true.

Have a blessed day!

I do dream of a time when we are kind to one another, when we help one another and we end so many of our hurtful behaviors: violence, racism, bullying and eliminating the stigma with mental wellness. I’ve been diagnosed with depression, anxiety and ptsd due to a combination of items: deteriorating marriage, harassment & racism in a career I was passionate and loved. Lastly, my health, the diagnosis of rare incurable illnesses all caused my severe depression. I’m truly blessed our Father has allowed me to stay alive, even though I did try to leave.
I dream of folks understanding mental wellness and not looking at us as if we are anything less than perfect. God created us, we are His image, we feel connections or loss of connections more profoundly than others, we sense hurt, pain, loneliness more than others. Our sensitivities are such, our minds our brains get depressed. Yes, we may need medication, it’s not our fault if our body doesn’t produce enough dopamine or serotonin, don’t judge us if we are sad or we become secluded. Love us, check on us, reach out, tell us you love us unconditionally. Those our my dreams! With that being said, I’m dreaming I have a fabulous wonderful blessed birthday, I turn 52 years old today, starting a brand new chapter in my life as a single woman.
Blessings Monsignor
