As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I think of the word PERSEVERANCE. When we turn to Jesus in times of struggle, we grow strong in perseverance. The Scriptures tell us in Romans 5:3-5 that we are to “exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
When I was a child, I remember watching TV and suddenly a symbol would come on and you would hear the words, “This is a test. This is only a test.” The same is true with our world. When will we turn to Jesus and surrender? When will we realize how, as a world, we have turned away from HIM? Today is a day to persevere. This, too, shall pass; Jesus is in control!
So, today, relax, smile, it’s a wonderful day. “It is just a test, it is only a test”, and our faith, hope and love are in Jesus! Have a blessed day!
