As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about a quote that someone sent me yesterday. It says, “Sometimes you have to let go of the picture of what you thought life would be like and learn to find JOY in the story you are actually living.” The quote comes from Rachel Marie Martin. It reminds me of how Jesus tells us to live in the present moment.
I don’t know too many people whose lives turned out exactly as they planned. Oftentimes, things like employment, divorce, death, and so many other things change the course of our lives. But when we remember that our lives were given to us by God, we are reminded that we need to accept each and every hardship as part of our journey.
Today, I am going to strive to find the joy and blessings that God has given me. I am going to look at the things I have survived and how much deeper my relationship with Christ is because of this. Today I am going to live in JOY!
