As I sit on this beautiful morning and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I feel myself growing uneasy. The newspaper headlines show protesting and riots throughout our country. Two homeless people just passed by asking for water. It makes me feel that there is a negative energy in the universe.
I do not want to add to that negativity, so I sit here and ask the Lord to fill me with HIS Holy Spirit. During the vigil of Pentecost, the world received the gift of God’s SPIRIT in a special way. I know that HIS spirit is stronger than all this negativity energy and, if we, as a universe, can join with HIS SPIRIT, things will change.
Today, I am going to intentionally call upon HIS SPIRIT, not only to enter my heart, but to pulsate out into the world so that the world may know the power and LOVE of God. Can you imagine what would happen if each one of us was to allow the spirit of God to flow from us today?If we could just get out of our own minds and BE present in the moment, we could change our world.
Come, Holy Spirit, come Renew the face of the earth.
Come, Holy Spirit, come within me.
Come, Holy Spirit, come and bring to the world the love of God.
