As I sit and have my cup of coffee this morning with Jesus, I was thinking about FREEDOM. It is sometimes easy to take our freedoms for granted. Our freedom of speech, our freedom of religion, freedom from fear, and freedom from want. Today is a great day to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy, and to remember those who continue to uphold our freedoms.
In a special way today, I want to remember our brave servicemen and women who continually protect and defend our freedoms. And there are others who defend our freedoms, those who serve in law enforcement, the fire fighters who protect our homes, educators who instill in our children reverence for our nation, and respect for others, and those who inspire faith in our country’s institutions.
Today is a day to remember and give thanks to God for our country and for our way of life.
