    Radical Acceptance: Part 7

    by Craig F. Harrison July 29, 2026

Radical Acceptance: Finding Peace in the Gaps 🕊️✨

Welcome back to session seven of Conversations with Craig. Today, we are continuing our 10-part series on radical acceptance, exploring how we work toward bringing broken or alienated relationships back together.

While it isn’t always safe to reconcile, in most cases, there is a way to find a level of relationship that brings peace to your own soul—allowing you to walk into a family gathering without spending the whole time figuring out how to avoid someone.

    Navigating the Reconnection:

    • The CS Lewis Perspective: C.S. Lewis once noted that forgiveness doesn’t mean excusing the behavior. It means looking at the action, seeing it for exactly what it is, and choosing to let it go anyway.
    • The Reality of Comparison: It’s so easy to look at other siblings who are best friends or parents who are deeply, securely involved in their children’s lives and think, “Man, I wish I had that.”
    • Surrogate Blessings: When our immediate family falls short, God often provides. Think of the aunts, uncles, neighbors, friends, or godparents who have stepped in to fill the roles that others couldn’t handle.

This journey is all about looking at our lives and realizing that God has a perfect plan for us. We cannot let our path be defined by bitterness or by hiding from the past.

Have you ever had a surrogate family member step in and fill a gap in your life? 🌅

Watch Episode 7 now, and let’s keep moving toward peace.
