GRIEF

Craig Harrison - Coffee With Jesus

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about GRIEF. As the holidays approach, those who have dealt with the loss of a loved one sometimes experience deep GRIEF. In my own life, I was thinking of the THANKSGIVINGS that we had when my mother and father and sister and brother were all here. Though it will never be the same, I cherish those memories, and I continue to try and celebrate the holidays.

I read a quote about grief, “In GRIEF I’ve learned, it’s really just LOVE. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All the unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, a lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.” But our world needs that love that we hold inside.  We need to turn that love around and give it out to our families, the poor, the lonely.  Then that love which we have for family members and friends continues to flow with our tears.

As we approach the holiday season, let’s look at the grief in our own lives and find a way to share it with others. Have a blessed day, and feel the spirit of those we miss; pay it forward, for they are just around the corner!
