MERCY

Craig Harrison - Coffee With Jesus

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was reflecting on the word MERCY. The dictionary defines MERCY as compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone who it is within one’s power to punish or harm.  Throughout the Bible, the word MERCY is often used.  Jesus refers to it many times.

Luke 6:36 says, “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.”  Titus 3:5 says, “He saved us, not because of righteous things we have done, but because of HIS MERCY.”  And Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us then approach God‘s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive MERCY and find grace to help us in our time of need.”  God shows us endless MERCY and asks us to do the same to each other.

Today, I am going to strive to be more MERCIFUL.  I am going to reflect on the gift of one of my favorite devotions, the DIVINE MERCY, which says, “Jesus, I trust in you .”  We are so blessed to have a MERCIFUL God.

Have a beautiful day!
