As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I am thinking about the word FREEDOM. Epictetus said, “But anyone who can be restricted, coerced, or pushed into something against what they will is a slave.” The Bible tells us in Galatians 5:1, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be a burden again by a yoke of slavery.” And Psalm 119:45 says, “I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.”
It is good for us to reflect on freedom, that we have choices, and that our choices should be guided by God‘s WORD. We can feel controlled or have our freedoms taken away by others, but true freedom comes from Christ and our relationship with HIM. It allows us to live and preach the GOOD NEWS.
Today, embrace the freedom that Jesus called you to. Live in freedom, not controlled, coerced, or restricted, but in the true freedom of faith. It is liberating to live in Christ’s freedom.
Let the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ live through you!
