Radical Faith: The Real Cost of Following the Light 🕯️✨
Welcome to session four of Reflections with Craig! Today, we are diving into a hard truth about living with radical faith: it will cost you something.
When you look at Scripture and history, radical faith has always carried a heavy price tag. Abraham had to leave his comfort zone behind. Noah sacrificed his reputation while everyone around him thought he was crazy. Daniel risked his life, and the disciples lost everything they knew in order to gain the Kingdom.
Counting the Cost:
- Shifting Relationships: Living deeply rooted in faith will inevitably cost you some friendships and connections. Walking through my own awakening and transformation was painful as I grieved losing people I thought were true friends.
- Releasing Institutional Reliance: My faith is no longer anchored in institutions, places, or people—my faith is anchored squarely in Jesus Christ. I see His work, but I also see human flaws, and that reality has shifted my entire focus back to Him.
- Moving from Victim to Blessing: The trials I faced didn’t make me a victim; they were a blessing God used to awaken my soul. You suffer, you awaken, and then you arise.
When you truly begin to live with radical faith, not everyone in your family, social circle, or faith community will understand it—and that’s okay. What matters is that you are walking in the power, purpose, and presence of Christ.
Have you ever had to let go of a comfort or a relationship to stay true to where God was calling you? 🕊️
