    Listening

    by Craig F. Harrison April 21, 2026

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about the power of LISTENING.

Being able to LISTEN to others, to creation, and especially to God takes effort.

It is easy to talk, to try to make your point, and, for some, it’s easy to argue, but to really take time to listen to what someone has to say is an art.

Have you ever sat outside and listened to the birds sing, or the crashing of the ocean waves, or even to majestic silence?

When we LISTEN, we slow our brains down and take away the noise of the world.

It is easy to pray by rambling off words, or repeating prayers, but the gift of prayer is LISTENING to the voice of God speaking to our hearts!

Today, on this beautiful morning, as the sun prepares to come up, I am going to say the prayers and read the reflections that I do every day, but today I am going to make a special effort to LISTEN to God tell me of the GLORIOUS things He has planned for me today.

I am sure that HIS list of things for me to do is far greater and life-giving than the one that I have prepared!

Have a blessed day and LISTEN!
