As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus and continuing my reflection on ANGER. Anger is a real emotion, and we should not deny it, but we have to be very careful and observe it. I read some great quotes one said, “anger doesn’t solve anything, it builds nothing, but it can destroy everything.” Another one said, “speak when you are angry, and you’ll make the best speech you’ll never forget!”
Even Jesus got angry, you remember the story in the temple when he turned over the tables. We cannot ignore anger, but we certainly need to be careful when we allow it to control us. Aristotle said, “anyone can become angry – that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way – that is not within everybody’s power and is not easy.“
When we take our ANGER to prayer God can help us soften the blow help us to regroup and to breathe his grace in to the moment. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “for every minute you remain angry, you give up 60 seconds of peace of mind.” Today lift up your ANGER and learn to calm yourself, give space and time to whoever or whatever angers you and allow GOD in! Don’t waste another minute! Have a blessed day.
