As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus today, I was reflecting on a quote a friend sent me from Saint Padre Pio. Padre Pio said, “In the meantime, don’t worry to the point of losing your inner peace. Pray with perseverance, with faith, with calmness and serenity.”
September 11th brought fear and anxiety into our world, anxiety that has continued. But we need to listen to the words of this saint. We need to hold on to our inner peace, to remain prayerful, and to persevere. Yes, there is evil in the world, but with faith, we can bring the presence of God to a world that desperately needs it, and restore PEACE!
Today, I will remember; the lives lost on 9-11. I will NOT forget. But I will also refuse to live in fear and lose the Father’s PEACE! God will destroy evil. We cannot give into fear! I will remain prayerful and will persevere.
