As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about “peace.” We all need to have a place that we go to where we can find the peace of God. For almost fifty years, I have been traveling to Assisi, and every time I go, I feel at peace.
I also know that, in reality, I can’t always be there, so I try to create that feeling again on my front porch, or sitting in church, or while walking my dog, Francesco.
So today, find a moment to sit in the peace of Christ, no matter where you are. Go to your peaceful place, if you can. But if you can’t, just close your eyes, go to that special place in your mind, and spend a moment with Jesus. Let him give you the peace that is beyond all understanding.
