As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was reflecting on the word EGO. You can tell when ego runs a person’s life. They feel very important, and yet you can see their lack JOY and AUTHENTICITY.
Often times, they use their egos to threaten and beat down others in order to look better themselves. When the EGO takes over, watch out, because Jesus and Ego do not go together. We also need to be careful that we do not get caught up in other peoples’ egos. Those with strong egos, also known as narcissists, will continue to bully, lie, and do whatever they need to feed those egos.
The best thing to do is to pray for them and keep your own ego in check. Jesus says we must die to self; that is, to our EGO. Sometimes, it is good to make a change in our lives to get out of the ego control. Today is a great day to look at ourselves, to look at our own egos, and look at the egos that try to take us down. Stay close to the Lord and you won’t have to worry about them doing anything to you; they will only destroy themselves. Have a blessed day, and keep that ego in check!
