    Listening

    by Craig F. Harrison April 18, 2021
    1 min read

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus I was thinking about the power of LISTENING. Being able to LISTEN to others, to creation, and especially to God takes effort. It’s easy to talk, or try to make your point and for some it’s easy to argue, but to really take time to listen what’s someone has to say is an art.

Have you ever sat outside and listened to the birds sing, or the crashing of the ocean waves or even to majestic silence?

When we LISTEN, we slow down our brains and take away the noise from the world. It’s easy to pray by rambling off words, or repeating prayers but the gift of prayer is LISTENING to the voice of God to speak to our hearts!

Today on this beautiful Sunday morning as the sun prepares to come up. I’m going to say the prayers and read the reflections I do every day, but today I’m going to make an effort to LISTEN to God ,tell me of the GLORIOUS things he has planned for me today. I am sure that HIS list of things for me to do is far greater and life giving than the one that I prepared! Have a blessed day and LISTEN!
