As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, and the three candles on my Advent wreath are lit, I’m reflecting on CONNECTIONS. The Advent season and Christmas are certainly about Jesus, but it is also a time of connections, the CONNECTION between God and humankind, the connection that God wishes us to have with HIS SON, and the connection that God desires us to have with each other.
One of the gifts of the season is the gift of Christmas cards, a simple gift of CONNECTION. I love looking at how families have grown, I love seeing the way people age gracefully, I love to know someone is thinking of me, and it makes me think of them. Connection is a GIFT from God!
So today, even if you don’t feel like connecting, reach out, send out a few cards letting people know that you are thinking of them. It’s much more personal than a text! Today, have a blessed day and connect…when we connect with each other, we connect to Jesus, and when we connect to Jesus, we find the FATHER.
