Divine Timing

Craig Harrison's Coffee with Jesus reflections provide a healthy cup of daily inspiration to start your day. Cover art by

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I think of the words DIVINE TIMING.  It’s amazing how I can try to manipulate time.  I have a long To Do list, I keep a calendar, and, of course, I think I know how things should progress.  And then I run into DIVINE TIMING!  It has an easy definition.  It is GOD’S timing, perfect timing!

When you go through difficult times, or you feel like you are swimming upstream, when you wonder when will the pain stop, you have to connect with DIVINE TIMING!  Whatever God is doing in your life, HE has a perfect plan, and HIS timing is perfect.  Sometimes we are called to SACRED WAITING, and sometimes SACRED SUFFERING.  But for God, it all has purpose.  We need to say to ourselves, “This, too, shall pass.”   And while we wait, we have to trust in HIS WORD that whatever we’re going through is necessary for the building of HIS kingdom.

DIVINE TIMING is perfect timing, and it is what we need to become holy. So, today, take a deep breath, get in sync with divine timing, and trust that whatever you’re going through, God is using it to make you Holy!  Have a beautiful day!

Buon Giorno Monsignor Your message, your thought on timing has been in the past my Achilles Heal. I would be impatient, upset, sometimes even think bad thoughts on why why why HE was putting me through difficult, painful, hurtful a tumultuous nightmare. I’m being extremely clear and transparent, I tied leaving this world 2 times. Going through a horrific custody and divorce war, going through harassment, bullying and racism in the workplace and in my neighborhood for years and lastly struggling navigating the health system and finally being diagnosed with a plethora of incurable, rare and all potentially fatal. I’d ask him angrily, “ why are you putting me through this ugly journey, why Father, why, did I do something wrong, are you punishing me for my sins? I’m embarrassed say I was extremely upset and angry at HIM, as I have daily conversations with him during my walk/jog with our Father. I now realize, understand and FINALLY comprehend why HE had preordained my struggles and my pain. In order for me to truly understand and appreciate happiness, joy, kindness and love our Father HAD to make me walk through my dark nightmare. It wasn’t that HE had abandoned me nor that HE didn’t love me, on the contrary, HE loves me so much HE wants me to experience true bliss while I’m in this temporary home. I’m stronger and than I ever thought possible, I’m truly grateful, humbled and appreciate of all he GIFTS me. As each and everyday, each interaction with a fellow friend, family member or a complete stranger (my mantra is every stranger is a new best friend), maybe more last. I try to help others, to lift others to motivate and inspire our fellow brothers. I freely share my mental health, my deep severe depression and how HE pulled and dragged my ass out of my deep dark hole and my self imposed shackles. Our amazing all powerful omnipotent omnipresent Father gave me my personal key to remove my shackles and HE placed a ladder to easily walk out of my hole.I share each forward step in improving my mental well being, from prayer, meditation, music, exercising, walking outside, expressing to my loved ones when I’m feeling blue, starting a hobby, reading and getting rid of all negativity, including family, friends and colleagues. As I’m healing and I don’t want to regress I must shield myself from those who will hurt me emotionally and physically. Some may think I’m being selfish but it is NOT, we must protect ourselves in order to be strong enough to help others. We MUST love ourselves so much, we have to treat us as a precious gem, a polished stone waiting to expose a diamond in the rough. Your quote, “When you go through difficult times, or you feel like you are swimming upstream, when you wonder when will the pain stop, you have to connect with DIVINE TIMING! Whatever God is doing in your life, HE has a perfect plan, and HIS timing is perfect.” Sometimes we are called to SACRED WAITING, and sometimes SACRED SUFFERING. But for God, it all has purpose.” Have a wonderful Blessed day Monsignor Craig 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽 Dr. Marta E. Chipres
