As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about the expression “to gaze.” To gaze is to go out of self. Joni Eareckson Tada says, “I want to stay in the habit of ‘glancing’ at my problems and ‘gazing’ at the Lord.” That is something that I, too, want to learn to do.
Yesterday, a young couple stopped by to introduce me to their new baby. To watch the way in which they gazed at their child was amazing. What a wonderful day it can be when we gaze upon the Lord and all of HIS wonderment, instead of being distracted by drama, violence, and fear.
Today, on this beautiful morning, GAZE on the Lord with joy, amazement, and gratitude! It is a beautiful day when you GAZE upon the love of the FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT.
Have a wonderful day!
