Transition

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was reflecting on the word TRANSITION.  If you look it up in the dictionary, the word is defined as the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another.  We all go through transitions in our lives.    Maybe you have been through a divorce, a job change, a move to a new area, or lost someone you love, all of these bring us to TRANSITION.

We cannot stop TRANSITION from happening, but we can certainly rely on Christ to help us through.  It says in Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and courageous.  Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!”  And Jeremiah 29:11,” For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future full of hope.”  The Scriptures are full of reminders that when we are in TRANSITION, we need to lean on the Lord.

So today, I’m going to see the TRANSITIONS in my life as a true blessing and a gift from God.  I will cling to HIM for direction and support.

Have a great and blessed day!

Buon Giorno Monsignor, What an insightful and positive message, my past few years have felt as I was on a rollercoaster which had 3 levels, down, warp speed down and turtle pace slow. After reading your message today, the word transition can also be seen as seasons and/or weather depending on our own current personal experience. When I felt I was on the rollercoaster at warp speed, it would have been analogous to a winter storm, dark ominous clouds preceding the event, warming me, take cover and prepare yourself. Prior to walking into our very frat court date, our Father told me, get ready it’s going to get ugly. As I was sitting next to my attorney (who I subsequently fired) I knew it was not going well, I recall telling the attorney, at what point do you defend me against these flagrant lies? Fast forward later, I was on warp speed, I felt as I was going to hit the bottom, but our Father tightened my safety bar and added an invisible safety belt harness. Which I now find comical, as I tried to jump out, but the damn harness didn’t let me budge. Have a blessed day
