Pets

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus I looked up and Francis my dog was sitting on the chair. It made me think of what a wonderful gift pets are. They are those special creatures that teach us unconditional love.When we give praise to God for the blessings in our lives very seldom do everything to him with those companions like Francis. The way he is excited to greet me when I come home. The way he comes and lays his head on my chest when he knows I’m sad, when he pushes me to play when I don’t feel like playing. Whenever I cherish the special gifts that God gives me, I give HIM praise. One thing about Francis is he loves me just the way I am, no judgment, No criticism just unconditional love. Maybe there’s a lot we can learn from the gifts and pet companions that God gives us. It seems we are always trying to teach our pets new tricks and they’re trying to teach us life lessons. Today I give thanks to God for the gift of Francis and the many pets I’ve had before. And today I think I will watch and learn I still haven’t figured out how to roll over and surrender!
