As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about PERSEVERANCE in PRAYER. I was studying the words of Elijah when I discovered what a powerful prayer he created. It was bold and full of confidence. Elijah did not beat around the bush or even bargain with God. He believed in God‘s promises and he prayed with authority.
In studying 1 Kings 18:20-40, Elijah tells us that we do not need to pray in secret; rather, we need to be bold and strong when we pray. God tells us to come boldly into HIS presence. This is very powerful, because we are followers of Jesus Christ, and we can believe and trust in HIS promises.
Today, I am going to pray BOLDLY to my God. I am going to trust HIS promises to me and pray with confidence for people and situations where I need HIS guidance.
So, whatever you were praying about, pray with PERSEVERANCE AND CONFIDENCE! Trust that God hears you and will keep HIS promises.
