Overwhelmed

Craig Harrison's Coffee with Jesus reflections provide a healthy cup of daily inspiration to start your day. Cover art by

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking of how many people have told me recently that they feel OVERWHELMED.  Sometimes life can happen very fast and we feel attacked by many different facets of life.  That’s when we need to stay centered on JESUS.

People sometimes say He never gives us more than we can handle.  I would really like to know who those people are!  When we do feel overwhelmed, it’s important for us to get centered, to BREATHE, and to realize that everything is in Jesus’s hands.  The only reason we feel overwhelmed is because we are taking responsibility for something God never intended us to take responsibility for.  In the end, we cannot control everything that comes our way and we certainly cannot control others.

If we sit for a moment, and close our eyes, take a deep breath, and surrender our worry and anxiety to Him, we will realize that we are OK.  We can get through anything with HIM.  Try not to be overwhelmed and know that HE is there to defend you, to comfort you, and to assure you that everything is part of HIS perfect plan.

Have a wonderful day and be OVERWHELMED by HIS LOVE!

Buon Giorno, Boy, I wish I had learned this skill years ago! I was taking everything on and even trying to help others fight through their own battles. I now gift all my worries and concerns to HIM. Once in a while I regress and yep, I feel anxious, my stomach flares up and I have a migraine (triggered by stress). For our own physical and mental health, let your worries be like water off a duck. It’s out of our hands, don’t dwell on it, what will will be, HE will defend us, protect us and most importantly guide us. I love your message, “If we sit for a moment, and close our eyes, take a deep breath, and surrender our worry and anxiety to Him, we will realize that we are OK… everything is part of HIS perfect plan.”
