OVERCOMING FEAR

Craig Harrison's Coffee with Jesus reflections provide a healthy cup of daily inspiration to start your day. Cover art by

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about the words OVERCOMING FEAR. Fear is so debilitating. I realize that, for much of my life, I have lived in fear. I had fear of making mistakes, or fear of the dark, or fear that somebody wouldn’t like me. So many things to fear.

When we live in fear, we cannot live in the trust and grace of the FATHER. We either put our hope and trust in HIM or in the world, where fear is produced.  If you’re tired of being afraid of people or situations in your life, or even of life itself, then it’s time to turn back to the FATHER.

God has led me through a wild journey from fear to trust. Today, I am not afraid!  It says in Romans 8:31-32, “If God is for us, who is against us?”  He who did not withhold His own Son, but, rather, gave Him up for all of us.  Will He not also give us everything else?

Today, remember that, with Jesus, we have nothing to fear! Jesus came here that we might have life, and have it abundantly!

Have a blessed day, replacing fear with trust!

This is something I truly struggle with. Thank you for this reflection. I will probably look at it daily.!
