Energy

Craig Harrison's Coffee with Jesus reflections provide a healthy cup of daily inspiration to start your day. Cover art by

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about the word ENERGY.  From the time my eyes open in the morning to the end of the day, my ENERGY level changes.  Have you ever met someone who drains you of your energy because of all their drama?  On the same note, have you ever met someone whose energy is so contagious, that they lift your spirit?

As Christians, our ENERGY (Spirit) needs to flow from our relationship with Christ.  This is what made the disciples so dynamic.  The SPIRIT of Christ was the ENERGY that flowed out of them.  How was your energy today?  Are you tired, overwhelmed, angry, or sad?  Then it’s time to reconnect with our Lord and allow HIS ENERGY to lift you up.

Today, be energized by the One who created you and loves you.  And then take that ENERGY and SPIRIT and spread it to our world.  There is only one kind of real ENERGY, and that is ENERGY that comes from the FATHER, through the SON, in the HOLY SPIRIT.

Have a blessed day!

Your question, “Have you ever met someone who drains you of your energy because of all their drama?” This is an extremely profound and philosophical question; I believe many of us are aware of this, but only at a subconscious level. We feel horrible being around some folks and others it feels as we are sipping from their fountain of youth, infused with love, happiness, joy, hope, desire and ambition. We must focus our conscious mind to reflect and realize who are toxic to our physical and mental well-being, most importantly our SOUL. My normal energy level is off the chart, I’m extremely high energy bouncing off the walls as my friends and family will tell you; my friends and acquaintances immediately know when I’m not feeling well physically our emotionally. .All of us will fluctuate in energy and emotional levels, I love how you refer to returning to Christ to increase our energy. I like to view it as I’m running low on gas and Christ is my gas station. I know when I’m running low and I need to start being grateful for all I have and remember to turn to HIM to refill my internal gasoline tank. The sheer beauty HiS gasoline is FREE vs. the crazy exorbitantly high prices we are currently paying for. Lifting others, helping others, loving others, shifting our nihilistic minds to positivity, compassion, kindness and happiness also refills our gas tank for FREE. Let’s all go to the same gas station, let’s place our stock in Christ!
