Courage

Craig Harrison's Coffee with Jesus reflections provide a healthy cup of daily inspiration to start your day. Cover art by

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about the word COURAGE. The definition of courage is strength in the face of pain or grief. I have been blessed in my life to know many people who are COURAGEOUS! I have a friend who is been battling cancer; she’s fighting the fight. I also know a young boy who is fighting that same fight with cancer. I watch them rely on their Faith in God. I have friends who have lost their long-time spouses, and friends who have lost children. The list goes on and on. They all continue to have a positive attitude in their pain and strive hard to be COURAGEOUS!

Scriptures tell us in 1 Chronicles 28:20, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the Lord God is with you.” And Psalm 31:24, “Be strong, and let your heart take COURAGE all you who wait for the Lord!”

No matter what is happening in your life, whatever trials come your way, have courage and TRUST in the Lord. Thank you to all of you who remind me of what courage is all about!

Have a blessed day!

Buon Giorno, The definition of courage in my book is you! You have been through so much pain, sadness and frustration. You have shown strength in the face of a horrible nightmare. May you continue to have a positive attitude while in pain and striving to be COURAGEOUS! Ciao

I agree with Marta Chipres! You ARE the definition of courage! Why on earth the Bishop hasn't reinstated you as a Msgr. and back at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Bakersfield, especially after the FBI already proved you didn't do anything wrong, I will NEVER understand!!!!!! AMEN AND GOD BLESS EVERYONE!!!!!
