Connection

Craig Harrison's Coffee with Jesus reflections provide a healthy cup of daily inspiration to start your day. Cover art by

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking of the words CONNECTION and DISCONNECTION. As I go through my day, I’m always trying to find CONNECTIONS. It may be a connection with God, with friends, with what I’m reading, or who I am listening to. I need connections! I’m also aware of the things I need to DISCONNECT from each day. I need to disconnect from the negativity, the gossip, and the judgment; there are even people I need to disconnect from.

What are you connecting with today and what do you need to disconnect from? Today, maybe God is calling you to connect with HIM in prayer (HE ALWAYS IS). Maybe it’s time to connect with a family member or friend. God may also be calling you to disconnect; to disconnect from the amount of time on your cell phone or on Facebook. Maybe there’s someone that you need to disconnect from because they are keeping you from being the best version of yourself.

Today, I am going to focus on connecting with our LORD. I think I may have a second cup of coffee with HIM. I think today I will disconnect from the news media and maybe even the REFRIGERATOR! Life is about connecting and disconnecting!

Have a blessed day CONNECTING to HIM!

I've been in the process, in the last few years and months of disconnecting from things that I feel a need to disconnect from due to some people's attitudes, the way some groups or organizations are run, some of the media, some tv programs, etc.! I just listen to GOD, plus use my common sense, that GOD gave me, to know when it's time to move on!!!!! I do want to thank two friends of mine and one of my cousins who have stepped up to the plate and volunteered to help me as I go through my third and hopefully last surgery to take care of a health issue I have. With GOD'S help, I will come through this surgery also and continue to live my life here on earth! Amen and GOD BLESS EVERYONE!
