As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking of the word COMPETITION. I don’t think I have ever thought of myself as a competitive person, but then realize I am.
My eight-year-old grandson came over the other day and got out the chess board. He was determined to beat me, and I was determined to beat him. He would make a move that surprised me, and then I would checkmate him. What I found during our competition was that we never laughed so hard! We spent a wonderful afternoon in a friendly competition.
So, Competition isn’t always bad. Let’s remember that the greatest gift of competition is not to win, but, to quote my grandson, “Have fun!”
Have a blessed day!
