Blessing

Craig Harrison's Coffee with Jesus reflections provide a healthy cup of daily inspiration to start your day. Cover art by

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I have been thinking about the chapters I’m reading in Henri Nouwen’s book, LIFE OF THE BELOVED. He speaks a lot about brokenness, but he also speaks about BLESSING.

He says, “To give someone a blessing is the most significant affirmation we can offer”.  Whether we ask the Lord to bless our children as they leave the house, or bless those who persecuted you, (that’s a hard one), or when you’re driving down the street and you see a homeless person, to share a blessing.  It is bringing the Christ in you to others.

Today I’m going to strive to BLESS our world, one person at a time.  I’m going to ask Jesus to touch their hearts, to fill them with PEACE, to HEAL their brokenness, and to bless them this day.  Have a blessed day!

Buon Giorno Monsignor, I thank you for blessing me, our Father knows I need it. Peace, Healing and Blessings are getting close to empty. Thank you for refueling me. Your chronological order of brokenness to healing to now blessings is the right order. In order to receive blessings we must first have experience hurt or pain which caused brokenness, then through prayer and hard work on our part we are gradually able to heal. Once we are better our Father gave us one very special gift. Even while we are down, hurt, lonely and in pain we are still capable of wishing abs praying for others to receive blessings. Let me say that again, even during our darkest moments we can wish good will to others. Yo me when I know someone blesses me even though in raking they may need it more than I, im@truly humbled by the kindness, empathy and love our fellow brothers have toward others. I thank you Monsignor for placing me in your bubble of prayer and blessings. Please know, your in my daily prayers and I do ask our Father to give you continual strength, passion, fortitude and bless you as you walk this amazing and profound new journey HE has created just for you!!! In your new capacity you’re able to reach and help thousands upon thousands. There are great things awaiting you Monsignor, I can’t wait to see HIS glorious blessings HE has bestowed for YOU! Blessings Monsignor Craig 🙏🏽♥️🙏🏽 Dr. Marta E. Chipres (formally Chipres)

Great message! I always say God Bless when I walk away from talking to someone or get help from someone! It really shocks the person who is rude to me, etc., then they have a look on their face that really says a lot! They are shocked! Amen and GOD BLESS EVERYONE!
