As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was reflecting on 2 Corinthians 12:10.

One of the translations says, “Therefore, I take pleasure in being without strength, being insulted, experiencing emergencies, and being chased and forced into a corner for Christ’s sake; for when I am without strength, I am DYNAMIC.”

So many people I speak with are going through difficult times, yet they are amazing, DYNAMIC people.

When I hear stories of what people endure and yet claim Christ for their strength, I am inspired.

They may be sorting through things or trying to make sense of the pain they carry, but what I really see is their witness to the love of God in them.

These are true heroes of faith.

Today, I am going to pray specifically for those who are going through difficult times, that they may continue to be witnesses of faith.

These are the people who are DYNAMIC and inspirational, not because everything is easy for them, but because Christ lives through them and their suffering!

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was reflecting on living in the PRESENT MOMENT.

Right now, it’s still dark outside. I can hear the trains behind me in the far distance. I can hear the traffic. I look forward to hearing the birds come out and to seeing the sun rise. I look forward to the neighbors going by and waving. I look forward to the world waking up. But I still want to be in the PRESENT MOMENT.

There are times when we experience something special, like the beautiful ocean or a spectacular mountain, or a magnificent sunrise; those are extra special moments. If only we could stay at these places where we find God, but we were not made to stay there. These special times are simply meant to be moments of INSPIRATION!

We need to find that place of peace in the day-to-day chores, the everydayness of washing dishes, or cleaning the yard, or driving, because our God lives in them.

On this beautiful morning, I am going to strive to be PRESENT in the MOMENT! I’m going to strive to see God in my everyday activities. I’m always grateful for those special moments where HE reveals HIMSELF in a unique way, but we grow when we can see HIM in every MOMENT. Look for HIM today. HE IS right in front of you!

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking of the word INSPIRATIONAL.

Throughout our lives, there have been many people who have inspired us, people who taught us about life, taught us how to be positive and how to make a difference.

It’s good for us to remember those people; they remind us how important it is to have a relationship with the Lord.

So, look back into your history at those people who INSPIRED you, who saw the GOOD IN YOU, and who helped you succeed.

Who are the people who gave you hope and who help lead you on the right path?

If possible, call them or drop them a note, and remind them how much they mean to you.

Pray for them today, whether living or passed on. Thank the Lord for the gifts they shared with you and realize that we are called to share those gifts with others.

Our world needs people to inspire and not tear down, to bring hope and not despair.

As Christians, we are called to this role.

Today, thank God for the people who brought inspiration to your life.

Pay it forward, be an inspiration, bring a positive outlook into our world. Stop complaining and start INSPIRING.

I reflect on how God’s WORD inspires me to move forward each day with a positive attitude. And I think of all the people who have inspired me over the years. I think about my parents, the wonderful teachers and coaches I had In school, the priests and ministers who have been an inspiration to me. Many of them have been through trials themselves and still kept their heads up high. They have inspired me to want to better know Jesus.

Today, I am going to name these special people in my heart, and thank God for those who remind me that Jesus is Lord. And that with HIS SPIRIT, we, too, can inspire others. Welcome to INSPIRATION.

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was reflecting on DIVINE MERCY!  In the dictionary,  DIVINE is defined as “of, or from God” and MERCY is defined as “compassion or forgiveness shown towards someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm.”  What a powerful gift DIVINE MERCY is!

When someone wrongs me, or hurts me or someone I love, my mind automatically goes to revenge.  I can plot their downfall, but I know Jesus asks much more of me.  He reminds me of the MERCY that HE has shown me in those times when I did not live up to being the best person I can be.  It’s an endless MERCY, loving us for who we are, loving us and our sinfulness, and never giving up on us.  He only asked that we do the same in return.

We’ve all been hurt, attacked, abandoned, or deeply wounded, but Jesus calls us to share HIS MERCY.  So today, let us think of those we need to forgive and lift them up to Jesus.  Let us ask Jesus for the strength to be merciful to them as HE has been merciful to us.
