As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking of the word CHANGE.

As much as we don’t always like it, everything is CHANGING. When we try to hold onto things too tightly, we struggle with CHANGE.

Jesus teaches us to live in the moment, to allow change to happen because He has a plan for us.

The Scriptures tell us in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: the old has gone. The new is here!”

In Isaiah 43:19 it says, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Today, embrace change. Give praise to God for the changes that are happening in your life, in your family, in your community, and in our world.

Don’t be afraid of change; rather, know that it is a gift from God.

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was reflecting on the word TRANSITION.

If you look it up in the dictionary, the word is defined as the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another.

We all go through transitions in our lives. Maybe you have been through a divorce, a job change, a move to a new area, or lost someone you love, all of these bring us to TRANSITION.

We cannot stop TRANSITION from happening, but we can certainly rely on Christ to help us through.

It says in Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!”

And Jeremiah 29:11,” For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future full of hope.”

The Scriptures are full of reminders that when we are in TRANSITION, we need to lean on the Lord.

So today, I’m going to see the TRANSITIONS in my life as a true blessing and a gift from God. I will cling to HIM for direction and support.

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus this morning, I reflect on the word CHANGE. Everything in the world is in motion, and, whether we like it not or not, everything is always changing. It says in Romans 8:6, “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is LIFE and PEACE.” And Isaiah 40:31 says,“ But those who hope in the Lord will RENEW their strength.

They will soar on wings of Eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint. “ When God takes you on a journey and you have to face change, embrace HIS WORD. God does not want us to get too comfortable in this life for this life is not his promise. Jeremiah 29:11 has always been my life verse, “I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE“. So, when God takes you out of your comfort zone and brings CHANGE into your life, it’s for HIS purpose. As difficult as it is, embrace it, celebrate it, and live it. Every day is Resurrection day! So today, look and see how God is bringing about change and don’t be afraid. Get excited because the best part of your life is about to begin! Have a blessed day!

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus on Christmas Eve morning, I think about why Jesus came into the world.  The incarnation is about CHANGE!  When humankind lost its vision of the CREATOR, God visited us on earth.  His name was JESUS, and HE came to bring change.

Jesus came to proclaim GOOD NEWS!  He came to heal and bring us back into relationship with the FATHER.  He comes again to bring CHANGE, to remind our world that we were created to LOVE.  He came to remind the world today that we need to get rid of all bitterness and hate, judgment, and condemnation.  He came to remind us to care for the least of us!

Today, I am going to reflect what I need to change in my life.  CHANGE begins with reflection, and reflection with gratitude.  I realize how powerfully God has worked in my life!  I acknowledge this, and I’m grateful for HIS love and guidance, even through the most difficult times of life!  Today I welcome Jesus into my life, my heart, our world.  EMMANUEL GOD IS WITH US!  I think I will sing all day!

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I continued to think about the word CHANGE.

Marcus Aurelius once said, “No man steps in the same river twice because the river has changed and so has the man.” Life seems to always be in constant change, and I think we are changing too. It is the reason why a personal relationship with Christ is so important. To allow HIS spirit to change and mold us is to be Christ-like.

I read a simple prayer that I liked, “Heavenly Father, I don’t know what the future holds, but I know YOU hold the future.”

As we begin our day and go to work or school, let’s embrace the change! The Spirit of God is guiding us. HIS SPIRIT reminds us that HE is in control and that everything that is changing is part of this plan. GO WITH THE FLOW!

Today, put a smile on your face and look at a beautiful new fall day in November. It’s a new day and a new opportunity to make Christ present.

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I am thinking about CHANGE. CHANGE is not easy.

The seasons are changing. Even the way we worship is changing. School, family life, shopping, and social life are all changing. The one thing that is consistent is JESUS CHRIST.

We need to focus on the fact that we were created for one thing: to KNOW, LOVE, and SERVE Christ. Changes are happening; they are out of our control, but our relationship with JESUS is within our grasp.

The most important thing IS that we CHANGE ourselves. Today, let us move out of the fear of change into a personal relationship with HIM!

As I sit and have my cup coffee with Jesus, I was watching the SEASONS CHANGE.

Some of the leaves on my trees are beginning to yellow, turn red, and fall to the ground.

There’s a crispness in the air. Fall decorations have come out, and it makes me aware that there are not just changes in nature, but CHANGE in ourselves, too.

The change of the seasons helps me reflect on the changes I’ve experienced in my life, the joys, the sorrows, the trials, the achievements, and the ups and downs of daily life.

Seasons remind me that change is good. It makes things new; it renews.

Rev 21:5 says, “Behold, I make all things new.”

Maybe it is time for us to welcome change not with fear, but with excitement and spirit.

It’s happening all around us every day. The sun just came up and birds are welcoming a new day.

The seasons invite us to change. A new season of our lives has come.

Let us embrace it and find CHRIST present in it!
