Yes prayer for our enemies does help us with GOD, but as one priest hinted to me–some people are beyond hope!!!!! They are in GOD’s hands and that is what I tell them at times when I’m totally fed up with them! Then I walk away! It’s amazing the reaction I get from other’s around who hear what I say at times! Your correct, this one is difficult to do. You’ve handled your Earthly persecution with grace, nobility and calmness. Your behavior throughout your nightmare solidifies, you are a true child God. You’re modeling to us how we should act during our personal time of persecution.

Your quote, “I struggle with praying for those who hurt me or attack me …basically praying for my enemies. But this is Jesus’s call to PRAY for our enemies. But I say to you, love your enemies and PRAY for those who persecute you.”

This is not a natural reaction for myself, I have been working on this for a few years. I’m much better at pausing, reflecting and pausing again prior to reacting. I need to add praying for the few folks I consider my “enemies.” I’m far from being perfect, but I do try to be better each day.

Bless you Monsignor, I’m still praying, for our letters to be read and a formal investigation into your horrific situation is remedied. If my magical wand worked I’d make you, Craig Harrison our Bishop!
