Ok, I’ll start off with the elephant in the room, I’m downright jealous; Assisi is on the top 3 places to visit from my long bucket list! Aside from my jealousy, your post today and actually since you’ve left Bakersfield have been filled with more love for Jesus AND have been relatable. I hate to say it, but being away from Bakersfield is uplifting & beneficial to your soul. Today’s message, particularly, these words,
“Pain and love go together…Trials make us rethink the way we were living. They make us slow down, force us to spend more time with our family, and recognize the simple things of life. Trials can make us stronger, more creative, and, hopefully, more spiritual.”

I know I share my life journey, many will wonder why I expose such intimacy, it’s to fulfill God’s assignment. If I can help just 1 individual who is struggling with depression and is on the cusp of committing suicide, I hope to talk them out of it. HIS love for us outweighs our pain. HE is making us stronger, stronger than we even thought we could be. Once we reach this understanding our blinders are removed. It is the simple things that truly matter; breaking bread amongst an incredible sunset with those we love, playing and loving our pets, holding hands and hugging those we love, taking long walks by ourselves, gardening and whatever brings us happiness.

We can not truly appreciate love and happiness without knowing deep pain. They go have in hand. I have and am in severe physical daily pain, being in the hospital over 7 times within 1 year takes a toll on my spirit, but HE has gifted me HIS armor; I am happier now than I’ve been. I appreciate everything around me, I’ve slowed down, simplified & sanctified everything a d everyone around.me.
