As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking of the word PERSEVERE.

There is a difference between perseverance and endurance. Perseverance consists of having an absolute trust in what is going to happen.

To PERSEVERE through any hardship is built on trust that there is nothing to fear.

Jesus stood for love, peace, justice, forgiveness, and mercy. Το PERSEVERE means that we believe in all of this and that we will not be let down because Jesus is always at our side.

There may be moments in our life we experience disappointment, challenges, and even suffering, but through it all we remain faithful to God’s promises.

We want to be like Saint Timothy, who said, “I fought the good fight. I finished the race. I kept the faith!”

Today, PERSEVERE with joy and peace. Be a true witness that Jesus is the Lord of your life!

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about the word PRAISE. The dictionary says PRAISE is the expression of approval or admiration for someone or something. Every morning, we need to wake up and PRAISE God, for we have been given the chance for a new day, a new beginning.

And the Scriptures often remind us about PRAISE. We need to praise God in good times and in bad. David says in Psalm 68:19, “PRAISE be to the Lord, the God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.” To PRAISE is to give thanks. Deuteronomy 7:9 says, “I PRAISE you, God, for you keep your covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love you and keep your commandments.” We PRAISE God for life, and we even praise HIM for the trials we endure! Remember, PRAISE is the highest form of prayer.

So today, PRAISE…

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about the words CROSSES TO BEAR. Many stood by and watched Jesus go by, but Simon of Cyrene and Veronica took action. The world will always remember them because Simon of Cyrene helped Jesus carry the cross. And we will remember Veronica for her courage and kindness in wiping the face of Jesus.

We all have CROSSES TO BEAR, and we need each other to help to carry them. Today, think of friends who need help carrying the cross and become a CROSS BEARER. Call them, visit them, enter into their passion, and be a friend. What a beautiful world it would be if we helped each other carry our crosses.

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about HOPE. Hope is the anchor for our souls during the storms of life. It reminds us that no matter how dark the night may seem, the morning light is coming.

Our ultimate hope is found in Jesus, who conquered death and promises to be with us always. Let His hope fill you with joy and peace today.

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about CONTENTMENT. Contentment is not about having everything we want, but about finding peace and joy in what we already have. It is an attitude of a grateful heart.

When we are content, we are free from the endless cycle of wanting more and can truly enjoy God’s presence. Find contentment in His love today.

We can embrace the seasons of change with confidence because we know the One who holds the future never changes. Trust Him through the transitions.

Before you speak today, ask yourself if your words are kind, necessary, and true. Let’s use our voices to spread love and life.

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about FAITH. Faith is trusting God even when we cannot see the road ahead or understand the outcome. It is believing that He is working all things together for our good.

When our faith is tested, it has the opportunity to grow stronger. Keep your eyes on Jesus today and let faith replace your fears.

As I sit and have my cup of coffee with Jesus, I was thinking about MISTAKES. We all make them, and it’s easy to let them define or discourage us. But with Jesus, our mistakes are never the end of the story; they are lessons in grace.

God uses our failures to grow our humility, wisdom, and reliance on Him. Forgive yourself for past mistakes and step into the new beginnings He offers.
